Job Description: Title: European Environment, Health & Safety Manager - UK Location: UK-North West England-Manchester Job Number: LOG001004 Lead with us as an Interim European Environment, Health and Safety Manager – Emerging Markets focused on driving the Health & Safety integration of a recent acquisition in North Africa. You will be instrumental in leading the development and execution of a robust EHS integration plan to enable a newly acquired company to operate within the overall Kellogg European Business. Utilising your leadership and technical expertise you will support the development of appropriate EHS standards, policies and practices to ensure legal compliance with Kellogg requirements. You will achieve this through partnership with local management at each facility and providing technical expertise across the recently acquired factories. WHAT WILL I BE DOING? In your role as Interim European Environment, Health & Safety Manager – Emerging Markets you will be part of our success by: Reviewing and assessing the EHS risks associated with the supply chain of a recently acquired North African Business Identifying any EHS legal compliance issues and implementing pragmatic solutions to ensure ongoing legal compliance Developing internal EHS standards and again implementing pragmatic plans to help the business achieve these standards Developing the local EHS capability to become self sufficient Driving EHS Due Diligence activities for future potential acquisitions in the region Qualifications: WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE? Required: Degree or equivalent in Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental or Occupational Health Sciences A proven track record in the Environment, Health & Safety field with a preference in food and beverage You will have a strong practical knowledge and understanding of legislation – preferably with experience of North Africa – but this is by no means essential With strong leadership and coaching skills you will be confident at problem solving and decision making with an ability to prioritize effectively and serve multiple sites You will be willing and able to travel to emerging markets countries for significant periods Fluent in English Preferred: Knowledge of North African EHS legislation - this is advantageous but not a necessity WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
